FAQ and additional details

What can you tell me about Pete Hall?

You know Pete Hall from his 12 books (including several bestsellers) and his presence as a global expert in educational leadership. His keynotes, workshops, and small-group development sessions have been called “engaging,” “transformational,” “on point,” and “outrageously productive,” among others.

Where, exactly, is the event going to be held?

This event will be hosted by the Hampton Inn down by the river in Coeur d’Alene, Idaho. It’s a 40-minute drive from the Spokane airport (airport code GEG) in one of the most idyllic settings in the United States.

What does the agenda look like?

We’ll meet at the venue from 8:00-2:30 each day, with the bulk of the time dedicated to YOUR team focusing on YOUR goals and work plan. Pete will facilitate protocols, activities, discussions, and learning sessions to help you accelerate and augment your accomplishments. (And that 2:30 dismissal each day leaves plenty of time for some of the many local adventures and opportunities for team-building!)

How much does the event cost and what's included?

The cost per leadership-team table is $5,000. For that, you get:

  • Up to six seats (if you need more, let us know and we’ll negotiate a larger table and appropriate cost)
  • Two days of robust team-enhancing PD
  • Cache of books and resources
  • Future 1-hour Zoom with Pete and your leadership team
  • Seats in Pete’s online course for each member of your team
  • 20% discount on future PD with Pete
  • And a leadership team that’s equipped and ready to take on the world!
Are July 15-16 significant dates?

Funny you should ask! Coincidentally, these dates fall right after the completion of the NAESP/NASSP United conference held in Seattle, Washington, from July 11-13. And that’s just a 5-hour drive or a 45-minute flight away! Make a week of it — bring your team to learn at the Principals’ conference and reinforce your direction and strategic plan with us two days later! (And Pete will be presenting at the conference, so you can hit his session(s) beforehand, too.)

What tips do you have for travel, lodging, meals, and activities?
If you’re flying, use the Spokane Airport (code GEG); it’s a 40-minute Uber/drive.

There are 6 hotels within walking distance, including the host hotel, Hampton Inn, in the Riverstone development in Coeur d’Alene.

Riverstone is packed with restaurants, art gallery, indoor golf, movie theater, bookstore, shops, lake, park, and access to the river and the Centennial Trail (riverwalk).

Activities? Coeur d’Alene lives for summer activities! Watersports, ziplining, golf, outdoor adventures, camping, hiking, you name it. And Riverstone is just minutes away from the famous Coeur d’Alene lake and the resort/shopping scene.

Testimonials

“The school year visits provided opportunities for Pete to listen, to question and to fine tune my thinking with a strong emphasis on actionable items to hone my current skills & leadership practices, particularly in the areas of visionary and instructional leadership. A key component to my learning was the monthly goal setting that required me to realistically self-assess and configure desired outcomes for the month and then covert these outcomes into actionable steps. These plans were then shared with Pete who provided feedback and supporting protocols or activities to support this work.”

– Jen H, elementary principal, NH

“The coaching I received from Pete helped me to be more evaluative of my decisions as an instructional leader through continuous reflection and transparency: set goals, celebrate small successes, and grow the potential of others. Personally, Pete helped me to learn to be reflective, prioritize, and set goals.”

– Ericka H, middle school principal, SC

“Pete’s questioning drove me to reflect on my own practices and steps I wanted to take in leadership. His positivity is contagious, and I strive to have that same positivity to affect my school. Everything was an opportunity to learn – we can always find a way to do better next time and improve our outcomes.”

– Katie G, instructional coach, WA

“Pete’s mentorship contributed to making me a more effective leader. It really made a difference.”

– Reina S, elementary school principal, TX

“The support I received from Pete was consistent. He trusted me and followed up which gave me the courage to try things and know I could go to him for clarification or help. Ultimately, the mentoring allowed me to believe that I had the capacity to do the job.”

– Amanda R, principal, Latvia
